Welcome to The Picker Knows Antiques & Collectibles, a premier destination for antique enthusiasts in West Des Moines, Iowa. Established in 2012, our store has become a cornerstone for those seeking unique treasures and timeless pieces. Spanning over 35,000 square feet, The Picker Knows is one of Iowa's largest antique malls. Our vast space houses a diverse range of items, including vintage furniture, collectibles, jewelry, and more. With merchandise that is constantly changing, each visit promises new discoveries and unique finds.
Our Story
In June 2012, a dedicated team of six individuals embarked on a journey to organize, clean, and restore a diverse array of antiques and collectibles. Their passion and commitment led to the opening of our first store in the Valley Junction area, where we quickly became known for our unique selection and exceptional service. YELP As our reputation grew, so did our need for space. In 2015, we relocated to our current location at 1208 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50265, expanding our vendor base from nearly 100 to over 200 individual vendors. This move allowed us to offer an even more extensive selection of antiques and collectibles to our valued customers.

The Picker Knows operates as a collective of over 200 individual vendors, each bringing their unique expertise and passion for antiques. This diverse group ensures a wide variety of items and styles, catering to both seasoned collectors and casual shoppers. Our dedicated staff is always on hand to assist you in finding that perfect piece or to share the stories behind our treasures. Simply flip a switch and a friendly face will arrive to help open a case or move an item too big for two hands to take home.
